Solar manufacturing costs have steadily dropped in the last five years. According to John Aziz at The Week, the price per watt has fallen from $4 per watt in 2008 to just 58 cents today! If this technological and manufacturing trend continues, the price of solar generated electricity here in the sunny southwest could fall below that of coal and nuclear by 2015! The natural price competiveness of solar combined with zero emissions, and tax credits extending to 2016 have created a very real solar energy boom! Clean USA Power Inc. has experienced much success leasing hundreds of acres of solar energy real estate to developers recently!   This trend will only continue as solar panels become cheaper still, and California is approaching its next mandate milestone of 25% renewable by 2016.
