Governor Jerry Brown has done it again! He has called for California utilities to be 50% renewable by 2030. Jerry Brown’s call will probably lead to a new California mandate. This of course will require thousands of acres of new wind and solar farms! California’s existing mandate (33% by 2020) is mainly being filled by wind and solar farms. Jerry Brown’s call for 50% renewable will drive renewable energy demand once again! As California lawmakers strive for more renewable energy, other states will continue to follow.
